From June 12 to 14, Postojna welcomed more than 150 financial market professionals for our 34th Annual Assembly and Financial Markets Conference. While the event has traditionally served as a key gathering for ACI Slovenia members, it has increasingly attracted a broader international audience. This year, nearly one-third of participants came from abroad, representing countries across the wider region and Europe, reflecting the conference’s growing reputation as a platform for cross-border dialogue and exchange. The event provided a valuable forum for discussing the latest developments in global financial markets and fostering connections among market participants, industry experts, and financial institutions from across Europe.
A highlight of the conference was the keynote address delivered by Primož Dolenc, Governor of Banka Slovenije, who shared his views on the digital transformation of financial markets, the growing role of tokenisation and digital assets, and the importance of maintaining trust and stability in an evolving financial landscape. We were also honoured to welcome Rui Correia, President of ACI FMA, who addressed conference participants and shared insights into the activities, mission, and international reach of the ACI community. Throughout the conference, attendees engaged in discussions on topics including the future of tokenised financial markets, digital assets, the global fixed income landscape, climate-related sovereign risk, and the geopolitical developments shaping investment and market dynamics. Renowned speakers from leading international institutions such as HSBC, Morgan Stanley, Jefferies, Saltmarsh Economics, NLB Skladi, and Banka Slovenije shared their expertise and insights.
Beyond the conference sessions, participants enjoyed extensive networking opportunities, social events, and a truly unique private visit to the iconic Postojna Cave. The experience offered international guests an opportunity to discover one of Slovenia’s most remarkable natural treasures in an exclusive setting. The visit culminated in a memorable surprise performance deep within the cave, where participants were treated to an exceptional musical experience, creating an atmosphere that will long remain among the highlights of the conference.
